Patricia has interest and expertise in working with patients with neurologic conditions such as brain injury, stroke and cerebral palsy, and with the aging population, including individuals struggling with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Another primary practice area is working with women using voice as a therapeutic modality.
Patricia trained at Berklee College of Music, where she learned that music therapy is “about connection, about relieving the isolation that various forms of illness and debilitation can bring” (Professor Julie Zigo). In her practice, she witnesses the power of music to lift ability from a life often more defined by disability. Patricia is passionate about establishing music therapy in Maine and frequently presents at conferences & organizations to educate and advocate for the profession.
